Give Thanks

In honor of Thanksgiving, which I actually didn’t participate in this year, I am going to count my blessings.

1.)  I am so thankful to have my faith. I am a non-practicing Catholic [kind of]. LOL. I love Catholicism and do need to improve my attendance record. But I love God regardless of whether I am there or not. This is the most important thing in my life and I am so grateful that God forgives. I look forward to going to heaven when I die and hope to improve as a Christian everyday that I am alive.

2.)  I am also thankful to have a beautiful daughter. She may bicker with me at times but I wouldn’t trade her for anything in this world. She has welcomed me into her home and allowed me to stay anytime I like. She’s honest with me and trusts me.

3.)  I am thankful for having a non judging and caring family. I am most closest to my cousin Susie, my sister KK and other sister, Colleen.  I don’t get to see my family very often but I do talk to Susie, KK & Colleen a lot. Thank God my family loves to laugh as much as me and never expect too much from me. LOL

4.)  Paul Shelby has been a blessing that walked into my life and I am not sure why or how. I am amazed that he has taken care of me for years now. I do not and will not ever take him for granted. He is like an angel in disguise. I definitely do not deserve the spoiling I receive from him.

5.)  My friends that accept me for who I am. I am not the most compliant in returning phone calls or attending outings. And for some reason my friends are always there for me. Thank you so much and you know who you are. Just to mention a few; Diana, Jim, Angel, Dana, Susan, Laura and so many more. They understand I am a loner and hate the phone and still mange to keep up with me.

6.) I am thankful to have a job. I am also thankful that job requires me to sit the whole time.

7.) I am thankful for the crucial material things in my life like my car, my bed and having a roof over my head.

8.) I am thankful for the things I have that I could do without but don’t. For example my smart phone and my DVR.

Of course this list could go on and on and on. But I don’t want to bore you. I just felt it was a post that needed to happen during the Thanksgiving Day season. I am an extremely grateful person and I never want to take things or people for granted. I know it can all disappear in a second. If I left someone or something out I am sorry.
